The last 2 chicken coops we saw listed on craigslist for cheap or free got snatched up so quick so I am finally happy to say the Patience paid off- literally
we picked up a lovely coop today from a generous woman on craigslist. she also gave us a 3/4 bag of wood chips and a waterer and feeder. the coop is medium sized , good construction. each side has 3 external nesting boxes with lift-able lid for easy access- making 6 total- there is also a peaked roof with 3 roosts. the top of the coop is all hardware cloth for good ventilation.
Such a great find. and FREE!!!! it does need a front panel on hinges and one more panel of hardware cloth- the tin roof needs to be attached and it needs to be screwed onto its stand again . we will build a ramp and also paint the outside
