Well, we were letting one of our Buff Orpington pullets out to eat some grass, when she started pecking at something.....I thought it was a dead beetle or something, but when I looked closer....I was shocked to find that it was a chicken toe!!!??? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] It had belonged to our RIR rooster who had a bad case of frost bite and the poor boy lost some of his toes and all of his points on his comb. Although he still believes he's a handsome rooster, the way he prances around and shows off for his girls. [IMG] But it was so weird and funny.....my sister thought it was gross. [IMG]

Just thought I would share a quick story to you guys. [IMG]

The only way it could be funnier is if he was the one pecking at it.

I wonder if it tasted like chicken.

Those little tootsies look like worms to other chickens, it's only natural for them! Did you watch the BOs actually eat them? eh.....[IMG]
