We got 7 chicks out of 18 eggs

& of the chicks hatched on the 21-23 day ... Now there are other eggs which haven't yet hatched. When should we remove the unhatched eggs ? I'm thinking they sat in the coop too long before the hen decided to sit on them.

Well out of the 18 eggs that Lucy was sitting on only 7 hatched & they are growing like weeds. They all look active & starting to dust & eating & drinking . Lucy is a great mom. On day 26 I felt the eggs that haven't hatched & they were cold so I got rid of those. I think these 7 chicks will be plenty for us to keep up with. Thanks for all your input. Happy clucking
