Went to a Poultry Trade and Swap, got three Buff Orpington/whiteleghorn cross pullets. and a pair of Bantam Black Cochin's, boy and girl, they only sold them in pairs.
The Cochins are young, but, very close to fully feathered, the female has all hers, the boy has some that still need to grow on his wings.

My four year old is calling the orpington's His Girls, so cute.
My seven year old is all over the Cochins, the little boy is a fiesty one, likes to nip, must cuddle him lots.

they are all super cute, and I had so much fun at the swap, very addicting. who knew???!!!

here are the new ones. got them today. Ameracauna and Ameracauna/Aracauna crosses, so they say/tell me. I just hope they are all pullets, as it seems the boys and girls are quite similar in their breeds, is that true? and I am not sure what you classify their coloring as, besides Blue..... not sure what you call the others.

I think that white EE looks roo-ish too...the comb is reddening up more than the others, and the tailfeathers are kinda looking a little long/curly.

Love the Buff OrpingHorns!

They are pretty and that cross will probably make for great layers.
