At 5am I wake to egg song. [IMG]

I have 2 older hens that have been giving an egg here and there, but I don't think this was them.

The younger girls are 19-20 weeks. AND there was an egg-like thing in the doghouse. The shell was papery and there was a hole in it where the yolk slipped out. BUT... I am thinking somebody is getting her egg on. [IMG]

Gosh I love the egg song. The funniest thing is that my roosters seem to be more enthusiastic about doing it than my hens.

    yep I think you're right!

we had a lot of "kinks" to work out in the begining too, weird eggs just like you described, fart eggs, and the like

I love the egg song too, it's so...chicken-y! [IMG]

My RIR would stand outside the nest box and sing to the silkies laying (they hang out together) Now I know where the expression "egging them on" comes from!! [IMG]
