    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! Oh peeping! How exciting :clap When you hear peeping they have internally pipped into the air cell and once the oxygen becomes low and the c02 high they will make their external pip in the shell. Could be up to 24 hours could be less each chick is individual. Once externally pipped they can sit another 24 hours again untill they start zipping the shell and actually hatch. It's a long slow process as they have a lot to do before actual hatch.

Good luck with your hatch :fl

Urgent question! My second egg that is hatching has zipped, but it's not moving and it's been 24 hrs since it pipped.

Has it zipped all the way around the egg? How long has it taken to zip?

It pipped at 2 pm yesterday, then it finally started zipping at 8am this morning (it's 1pm now) it looks to be about 2/3 of the way through the egg? It's not moving, but it would by working on the part of the egg that's in contact with the floor. Is this normal? Is it resting? Could it be in distress?
