A year ago I received a good number of poults from Porters. Murphys' law thought it would be funny to make sure that a newbie investigting the possiblity of breeding auburns would receive a shipment of mostly toms. Like 13!!. BY the time they reached breeding age, only toms remained. A very pretty group of boys that cruise the farm.
Finding info on this old breed is difficult and very few people have them as they are so rare. THe purpose of this thread is to enable Auburn owners to ban to gether and share their enthusiasm for this old and rare breed of turkey.
