Thank you all for your keen eyes and helpful words. Malita Pat is indeed a magnificent rooster, without a doubt. He begins to crow at 5:20 am and loves the sound of his own voice.

As we have neighbors very close and only two chicken girls for him to boss around, we felt we would all be much happier if he were to go somewhere more appropriate. He has now settled into his new home with no close neighbors and 40 hens to help care for. We do miss him, and will be a bit more skeptical the next time we are in the market for pre-sexed pullets!
