I'd strongly recommend switching to PolyVisol children's liquid vitamins (the kind WITHOUT iron). That way the chick gets nutrients that are SUPER IMPORTANT at its age, as well as an energy booster.

When I give sugar water I mix it a lil stronger. I mix 1 TBL sp to a quart waterer. I have not had any problems yet! I only do this for the first day or if I have a slow/ weak looking chick I may do it for 3. I would not recommend giving anything other than feed, egg, yogurt, vitamins, water, sugar, etc..... The greens are too hard for them to digest yet! They do not have the digestive system for the plant material yet and they do not have any grit to grind the plants yet unless you have given it to them. But its just my 2 cents!

    Good Luck and God Bless!

sounds good, thanks, i threw the clover in, someone here said some grass clippings thrown in may help keep the older chicks from fighting, so i thought clover would at least be good for them, they did quit fighting, so ill stop it, also they they do have a pan of parakeet grit for the older ones to dust in, they were kicking the shavings all over and filling the water with it, the dust bath stopped all that problem, i did get a bigger brooder to hold it all, haha ,
