Hi all! This place has helped this displaced redneck SO many times! Very thankful for all the great advice I’ve read here!

I have 2, 2 week old Buff Orps. We have had them for a week. One is progressing beautifully, the other seems to be lagging. She doesn’t stay on her feet for long, walks stiffly and lays with her wings spread a bit. She seems to be eating and drinking, but still appears weak. I started supplementing with pedialite mixed with a bit of plain yogurt to make sure she is getting something in her system. I started that last night and have continued through today, about every 2-3 hours. Hasn’t been much improvement, but she also hasn’t gotten worse.

Thoughts?

I would take her aside and hand feed her a couple of times a day. Vitamins might be helpful. Poultry Cell has both electrolytes and vitamins that include riboflavin. Two drops daily is the dose for a chick. What do her poops look like? What is the temperature where they are kept? Could you hold her upright and have someone take a picture up close from the front of her legs at eye level?

Let me know if these pics are the angle you are asking for. Poops are caramel colored, not watery at all, what I would call normal consistency. 90-100 degrees inside their box.
