Well the hurricane Patricia thats hitting mexico is sending lots of rain our way. They calling for possible 12 inch and more [IMG], will our hens be ok i cant really confine them to the coop as it meant really only for sleeping and egg laying until we finish remodeling it.

That's a dangerous amount of rain, which will lead to flooding. I'd be inclined to confine them to the coop and/or another safe location (garage, shed, etc.) during the brunt of the storm. If the run is covered, that may help protect them as well.

May God keep you, your family and your livestock safe during the storm.

Best wishes your way. Chickens don't manage in water, so bring them to a safe spot if possible. Stay dry! Mary

Well God once again proves that weather men no nothing lol after flooding up to four inches outside our door. The rain slows down long enough for the ground to absorb it and then stays at that pace and now no more rain when we were expecting major flooding, the chickens went wadding but didnt float away so all is good i even still got five eggs today woot. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. GOD IS GREAT!!
