My little guy has had a hard time just to get this far. Lone survivor out of an incubation horror story. Spraddle leg and alone. It was starting to thrive and gave up today. Now it just lays under the lamp and gasps. I have gotten it to drink h20 w/electrolytes, chick starter mash in egg yolk and h20. Yogurt too. It did peep a tad when I gave it h20, but since....nothing. Just weaker. Will not open eyes or able to hold head up. Has had pasty butt too. It was stressed yesterday and I could not understand why until I felt the bedding...the chick waterer leaked. Changed bedding and he was happy and zippy. Now this. It has been a few hours and he seems smaller. Ideas?

Oh I am so sorry when I have seen them gasping like that they don't make it.

I hope your little one makes it! Sometimes no matter what you do they cannot survive. All you can do is dip its beak in the water every so often and hope.

Here is information on spraddle leg in case the little one can improve and you need to fix his legs:

This is how to fix spraddle leg:

You only have a few days to fix spraddle leg before it becomes permanent I have read.

Keep us updated- we will be hoping for your little one to improve!
