Does anyone else here weigh their chicks when they arrive or hatch? My kids started the tradition with out first batch we bought from the TSS. Now we weigh pretty much every hatch and track them for the first two weeks. We weigh them with a digital scale in grams. With weighing them today though it was funny, they hatched yesterday. The LegHorns, an average 46 grams, the Polish and cochin bantam were around 30-32 which we have discovered, we weighed the newst breed for us to hatch.. Old English Game Bantams.. OH MY GOODness there little selves are only 18 GRAMS! And they keep running over the bigger breeds. I was just wondering..
