One of our Speck hens weighed 1008 grams until she took a huge dump on the scales readout screen then she weighed 1001 grams.

Have you ever seen a broody hen leave the nest box to go potty? Oh my word, that's an incredibly LARGE poop, and I look at the hen afterwards and wonder if she just lost half her body weight!

Yeah, even my tiny, tiny Japanese hen seemed like she dumped more than she could possibly hold when she broody pooped.
