One of my chicks hatched last night and it looks like she has a bump on the back of her neck? Maybe I'm just crazy. But it does.

Here's a picture of her. I don't know if you can see it but there is a bump there. I named her Lucifer..

lso... Could I put her in the brooder with her siblings who hatched 4-5 days ago?

By all means put her in with her friends. Sometimes chicks get fluid filled areas on different parts of their bodies due to increased friction/rub against the shell. I've noticed it before on my naked neck varieties. Check to see if it's squishy and fluid filled or if it seems firm underneath. Its head seems flat, too. Could be a skull deformity.

To me her head seems okey dokey. It's just that bump that makes her look all funny. I'll put her in with her friends. I just wanted to make sure nothing major was wrong as this is my first time hatching chickens by myself. Thanks!
