I just noticed today one of my pullets has a weird beak. [IMG]
He seems to be able to eat but he's a bit thinner than my other chicks. I'm just wondering how to proceed, should I clip the bottom half of his beak? Is this something genetic that I didn't realize until now? I just don't really know what to do. [IMG]

Looks like he has a slight cross beak. You might want to visit the crossbeak thread as they will be able to give you some good advice. As long as he's eating okay it's probably not bothering him too much.

And just to let you know (since chicken terms can be confusing), if he's a boy then he's not a pullet :)

Edit: Here's the crossbeak thread for you: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...-for-special-needs-chickens-and-their-keepers
