Weird comb?

Hatched this mix breed hen? What’s going on with her comb? Is it a hybrid comb? I’ve decided to name her Unicorn

Kinda looks like a a single point of a single comb growing out of ....???
How old is she?

That looks like a pullet, not yet a hen. It will be interesting to see how that grows out. #8 in this link might be interesting.

There are two basic genes, the rose and pea, that determine the basic type of comb: pea, rose, cushion, or single. But there are several other genes that can modify these four into other shapes, some really weird. That link shows 9 variations, but look at the difference between a Crevecoeur and a Houdan to see how much different a Vee can be based on what other modifiers are present.

That looks like fun to see how it turns out.

She’s about 3 months. The momma could be either an Easter egger or a Buff Brahma and the dad is a Rhode Island Red
