my new serama, Rachel has yellow earlobes...
does that mean that she will lay yellow eggs???
Wow, A chicken that lays golden eggs. Wanna trade?
Imp- I actually don't think earlobes are indicators of egg color, but that would be kinda cool.
Must post pics
i will tomorrow i dont feel like going outside in the dark freezing cold
Quote:Earlobes usually do indicate egg color normally white earlobes = white eggs and red earlobes = brown eggs. Not sure about blue egg layers most of my ameraucana have white earlolbes
I am curios to see what egg color she lays
she will be laying in a few weeks, when she does i will post pic
earlobe color does not match egg shell color. eg OEGB red earlobe white egg.
hey Hen69 I think its a general guideline it doesn't apply to all breeds but it does to most anyway yellow earlobes are unusual
i will post a pic in a bit, gotta finish my maths homework first
yellow earlobes are common for yellow skinned chickens with "white" earlobes, eg leghorn.
yeah but this is really yellow
