Hi all! I am new to BYC. I saw a post on good info to provide when you introduce yourself... So here is me!
I am so excited to finally be able to have chickens myself.

    1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to keeping chickens myself. I helped my grandparents with both their coops. I helped my mom with her coop. And now I am finally setting up my own flock!

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4, Soon to be 19. I will keep you posted on arrival, additions and loses.

    (3) What breeds do you have?
4 Gold Sex Links - 1 week old
Arriving in a few days - baby chicks:
6 Welsummer Hens and 1 Welsummer Rooster
    4 EE / Americaunas
    4 Buff Orpingtons
    Searching for Brabanters

    (4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Everyone I know uses it. I have lots of chicken friends!

    (5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to quilt, knit, make preserves, and create anything.

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are currently setting up our Ranch, Farm, Homestead... whatever hip term you would like to call it. I have a husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 pet crawfish. I am awaiting 19 chickens and have 10,001 bees headed our way in March.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a very good and thorough introduction.) My wife and I were both raised in the great state of Texas.) If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Hi and a warm welcome to BYC. Wow, it sounds like you have a busy time ahead of you for sure - it must be very exciting. There are a number of threads that include some of your additional interests - i think there's one on quilting, keeping bees, and for sure baking (@NorthFLChick) so hopefully you'll have some of your bases covered!

All the best with setting up your farm / ranch or whatever.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. We are super excited. It has taken four year but we finally have some chickens/chicks. Patience is a virtue!

I just hope the babies arriving on Friday are safe and sound. I am new to mail order chicks. Some things, no matter how much research, you just have to experience. And this seems to be one of those things.
