Orr, don’t listen to Al, that whole “eating the bones” must be a German thing. My grandmother used to try to make us do that.

Wouldn’t those scrawny guys still make a good soup? You could satisfy Al by throwing the whole bird, minus the feathers, in there.
They make decent raw dog food as well (which somehow sounds heartless).

Yeah, tile roofs are good to have in this area with its frequency of fires. This shed was built to look similar to the house (it's out front, not in back with chicken central) and for years it was where I stored our school's costumes. Then it just became a junk heap inside - but 2 full back-of-the-minivan dump loads later (we're talking all the seats out, the driver chair pressed forward so the steering wheel hits your sternum- full) it's actually got a nice concrete floor and only partly full shelves!!!
