Yeah - wondering if at 8-10 weeks, though they'll be small, I can harvest them like quail. I know I won't be able to get a hand in to clean them out.I'd harvest early to use as fryers.

Or @orrpeople do them now... crunchy nuggets on sticks... singe off the feathers... eat everything else.I'd harvest early to use as fryers.
I mentioned to E that we have a lot of food out back should something go bad... His reply? We don't have enough weapons to keep people from stealing them. Dang. Burst my prepper bubble!Pretend it is the covid apocalypse
His great grandparents would be very proud. Seriously Al, feed that boy more. The poor kid must be starving.Only one of my 5 kids eats the bones...
And that boy EATS them (well, chews off and eats all cartilage) .... he is always asking his brothers why they keep wasting so much food.
They make decent raw dog food as well (which somehow sounds heartless).Orr, don’t listen to Al, that whole “eating the bones” must be a German thing. My grandmother used to try to make us do that.
Wouldn’t those scrawny guys still make a good soup? You could satisfy Al by throwing the whole bird, minus the feathers, in there.
