Only one of my 5 kids eats the bones...

And that boy EATS them (well, chews off and eats all cartilage) .... he is always asking his brothers why they keep wasting so much food.

I have a couple of friends that chew off the ends of the bones and suck out the marrow. Interesting.

Yeah, tile roofs are good to have in this area with its frequency of fires. This shed was built to look similar to the house (it's out front, not in back with chicken central) and for years it was where I stored our school's costumes. Then it just became a junk heap inside - but 2 full back-of-the-minivan dump loads later (we're talking all the seats out, the driver chair pressed forward so the steering wheel hits your sternum- full) it's actually got a nice concrete floor and only partly full shelves!!!

That brooder was one I had in our carport for the same "transitional housing" use until a raccoon broke some of the boards trying to get in. So I've been needing some place for when they're too stinky to be in the house, but a bit too small for regular coop life.

Still can't believe that we barely have any snow this year..... we were buried by Thanksgiving last year
