That rooster with the splash hen will produce 50% splash and 50% blue.

No, not with that hen.

The black would have to be from a different hen.

The hen you showed is splash, so two blue genes, so all chicks from her will get one blue from her.

More than half of the snow is gone!!!


The driveway is a mud sinkhole mess... warming up WAY too slowly this year, still too much frost in the road.

I am thankful we live in a good spot... put a big cardboard sign at the base of the driveway with "Road closed, drop boxes here" and we are the only people tearing up the driveway.

BUT we are taking too many driveway trips and each trip messes up the driveway.

Hard to cut down on trips with TWO boys now working.
