It’s a tad nippy on my pad. I can make out a few things in the early morning light, but nothing more interesting than my bed.

When I was in elementary school, I saw the numbers themselves as very indicative of their value (never researched this, so there's probably something about the way the numbers came to be) if I look at 4, I have always seen 4 corners (the old way of making 4, not the triangle 4 like these) and 3 obviously has 3 points...anyway, that was how I did most of my math back then, because I could see the amounts before I could add them. It didn't help me learn multiplication though.

in my 30 yrs of teaching, most conferences were never attended by parents you most wanted to see--excuses,excuses! I would offer phone conferences, alternate times--no wonder their kids had issues in school
