    Does anyone have any experience of a welsummer who made a good mother?? I'm just wondering because mine is due to hatch 4 eggs on tuesday.

    My Wellies have rarely been broody, but when they are, I would say they have been as good at motherhood as my silkies.

    I had one that went broody early in the spring.. she sat on her egg for weeks and then left it one day... it never hatched [​IMG]
