It's too young to be sure. But he is looking roosterish.

His sibling died a week or so ago so i don't have anything to compare it to but in the last 2-3 days the comb has just tripled in size.

At 7 weeks that comb doesn't look male to me at all. You can't go by markings on a mixed breed. Maybe post again in 3-4 weeks?

Will definitely keep updating. It even looks like the feathers are opening up to make room for waddles also.

It is too young to tell for sure, but if I had to guess, I would say cockerel.
