Welsummer Boy or Girl - More Photos....

    Still trying to figure this one out.......the only reason he/she has the upright stance in the first photo is that I have become "The Mealworm Lady"......as in "it's THE MEALWORM LADY!!!!!!! Quick, to the door for snacks!!!" Silly bird was trying to eat the camera!

    Anyway, 7 weeks old today, reddish chest, no black. Just a slight touch of pink where the wattles will develop, no growth on them.

    So, what do you think?

    i think you have a boy! and the one sitting down at the bottom appears to be one too.

    I thought the coloring was wrong for a Welsummer roo though......

    That's a girl based on her feather color. Welsummer roos are not that color at all......this is a roo and hen pic so you can see:

    Oh it's been too long since I've had Welsummers.... I think it looks like a boy. But as stated before the color isn't right. I can't remember when the roos' coloring starts to differ from the hens. I seem to remember possible sexing as day olds and when they started to feather it was still pretty easy to tell them apart for me anyway. Everyone else at the house seemed to have problems though... I just can't remember though...
