I have four welsummer cockerels that are about two months old and are in need of a home. They are a breed that can be kept for the stew pot, which is what I was planning on doing with them except we don't really have room for them. I have two wonderful full grown welsummer cocks that have affectionate personalities, so I personally know this breed makes wonderful backyard birds. They are large, growing to about 8 pounds and can take care of themselves. They are also good crosses for any backyard production birds. Will try and get pictures soon. Photos of my own welsummers can be seen on my website. These are from a different stock than my own. -Tamsen Polley.
