    I have 11 Welsummer chicks.

When they were younger we guessed 8 pullets and 3 roos based on the head striping, but now that they are older, I can't tell.

My other half says that we have 6 pullets and 5 roos based on the coloring around their necks.

I'm not so sure. What do you guys think? What are the ways to know?

Here is what we think is a male:

lucky you, we hatched out 12 welsummer eggs and got 10 roos. I think you do have three roos. Some pictures of the other smaller "roos" would help. good luck

I'm really interested in this post - I just hatched 8 Welsummers 2 weeks ago...my initial thought was 5 pullets & 3 cockerels. If I go by the look/color of the comb so far - it looks like 1 cockerel.....so I'd love more information on sexing the Welsummers![IMG]
