As posted in another thread a couple of weeks or so ago, my Wendy (light Brahma) got taken by a predator. The day before she was lost, I put one of her eggs in the incubator. She always hung out with Chuckie (light Brahma roo), and so I thought it would be neat to have a chick of theirs. When she and Chuckie were both killed, it became so much more important to me. Well, today was hatching day!

Needless to say, Chuckie obviously was not the father - don't need Maury Povich for this one! Good old Black Bart (Jersey Giant) must have come visiting.

Aw, I know how you feel! My BR hen, Ivy, isn't doing well (internal laying) and I have one of her daughters, who is close to laying age herself now, Fern.

Little Bami is 6 days old now and such a cutie! He's mostly black and has a little feathering on his legs and toes. Not much light Brahma in him - he's daddy's boy (girl).
