We have yet to insulate our coop in any way since we built it in the Summer...Besides the crazy ice storm last year and the 2 days of 10" snow, it's been what I would call mild here...

We raise Silkies and want to know if thick insulation is needed inside or would wrapping the outside with siding be enough?...Right now it's all 1/2 wood, 4'x8' and will have 6 chickens in there by Winter...

    Thank you in advance!!!!

Nice house! Stack up straw bales around the sides and cover it with tarps for the winter and you should do fine!
