I'm in Easthampton and was told yesterday that my house is in a "grey area" zoning wise and even though I was told last year that I could have chickens, this year apparently I can't. Is anybody else out there in Easthampton or somewhere close and want to get involved in a chicken ordinance changing kind of thing? I've asked to go in front of the zoning and planning board to explain my case (and make them explain how they can change my property zone every time they get a new guy in the office) and was looking for info from close communities that I can use to back up my argument. Any information from nearby that I can use to show that keeping chickens is allowed and not detrimental to the town would be helpful.
