What a stressed turkey looks like after a predator shows up.

    The owl came back and I got my camera up and running. It couldn't get to the turkeys but this is what they look like when they're stressed.

    I'm pretty sure that would be a yes!

    And the head is, in fact, the red thang. Don't know what the point of fluffing out like that is. Just awful, isn't it? But I know exactly when something nasty has paid a visit.​

    Mine do that whenever they feel threatened. LOL Not only do they fluff up, but they start hissing like a cat..

    The idea of feather "fluffing" is to make them look bigger and more intimidating.. AKA "I'm bigger and stronger than you, don't eat me"
