What age can you start giving treats?

    Any age, as long as you are providing grit if it's something that needs grinding up... Salad greens, most vegetables, seeds, meal worms will all require grit, while fleshy soft fruits like melons will be fine without grit...

    Just limit the treats to a small amount of their diet...

    Grit is critical.
    You CAN give treats at any time. However, chicks don't eat a lot and I'd rather they fill their crop with a complete feed than a vegetable or grain until they are eating much more each day. I don't give anything but feed till they are out free ranging.

    Thank you for the replies. You read so many different things. So no table scraps like a lot of people say.

    You can feed them table scraps just make sure they have grit and don't over do the scraps, just a little bit as a treat...
