We'll be splitting the flock and am hoping to give my neighbor an approximate date of arrival for her section of the chicks [IMG]

Well, the cockerels were always bigger, ate more and fought more. But I could tell for sure at 10 weeks.

we are starting to see obvious signs like larger comb, wattles at about 6 weeks.

Mine are three weeks old and one is clearly a roo, with much larger comb and wattles and great big (though not aggressive) attitude. It started to seem probable at 2 weeks, now I have no doubt.
