I just bought 9 EE Pullets that are 2 weeks old. Of course I know they won't start laying yet. But at what age do they usually start laying eggs.

Thanks,
Michelle

They all vary. Mine was the first of my flock, at around 25 weeks. I think that's about average. Some earlier, some later.

Not all chickens will start laying in winter, so it may be spring before you see eggs.

Oh well guess i'll have to wait.

I believe my EE laid her first egg at 27 weeks. Seemed like it took FOREVER but I was soooo happy when I finally got that pretty green egg!

MIne were about 25 weeks. But worth the wait as there eggs are so cool and when you crack one in the frying pan they are really firm, not runny at all. People comment on them.

I have 2 EE's, one started laying last week at 21 weeks oldand now 8 days later, she has given 5 eggs.
The other EE, (same age) has not laid yet, but should in the next few days.
She is the "Runt" of the flock of 6, (and ironically, she seems to be the top of the pecking order),
She has been spending some time in the nesting boxes for the past 2 days, but no egg yet, from her.
I expect to see an egg from her, any day now.
