What age to clip call/mallard wings?

I'm just wondering if anyone can help me and tell me what is the minimum age to clip call ducks and mallards wings?

At what age do they take to the skies?

My call ducks are just over 7 weeks old. Their flight feathers are almost grown in so I'm thinking next week to clip. Once I'm sure they are going to stay close to home and know the area I do not plan in clipping again. A flighted bird can escape predators better than a nonflighted one.

the mallards will not try to fly away once they are familiar with there home? I have done one clip on my mallards about a month ago, they are free range during the day and get locked up at night.

Between 3-4 months they can fly.
