what am i doing wrong ?

hi I am new to this so please take it easy
I have made an incubator out of ply wood I can not get the temp up to 100f without putting the thermostat on the floor
of the incubator then the temp down up and down like and mad man the only thing I can think of is the
thermostat only goes up 38c is that my problem please can some one help

Can you add insulation?

I would suggest insulating it somehow and do you have a fan in it?

Ok how do you have your fans set up? Are they blowing across your heat source? Can you post a pic?

Hi I have two fans one is between the bulbs blowing down and one
is on the opp side of the bulbs blowing to the bulbs the themostat
is now on the bottom you can see pic 4 its the grey wire next to the stone
if I put it near the blubs the tem only goes to 98 d
here now its running at 100.8 and 98.8 plus I have a strong smell of varnish

What kind of thermostat is that? Are you willing to put a few more dollars into this?

its a loxs from china it heats to 38 d

Are you in China? I was going to suggest getting a lower unit hot water heater thermostat and mounting in right between the lights. You would have to relocate your fans though.
