Trying to figure our if this is in fact a rooster. And what breed he may be! Can anyone help me out.. I think he is still fairly young if he is a rooster but I think he is showing some roosterish? behavior!

Definitely a roo.
He was a surprise for sure! Out neighbors gifted us what we thought were 4 pullets... and they chicken sat for us a couple of weeks ago and they highly suggested we had a rooster.. now I am definitely starting to notice it but wasn't 100% since he hasn't started crowing.

Also.. I am assuming I have 3 hens but I think only 1 is laying.. what could that be about?

Hens are all on their different time schedules ☺️ you could send pictures of them and we can tell you their gender.

I have a hen that took 8 MONTHS to begin laying, when they can start as soon as 3 months.

The white one is the only male in those pictures.

As for laying, when the days are shorter, hens lay less. They pick up again in Spring. The red female looks a little too young to lay, but the others are probably just taking a break.
Thank you! How can you tell if theure too young? I'm sorry I'm asking A LOT of questions but I'm very very new to all of this
