I saw a youngster about a month ago that looked just like my duck, and they told me it was a muscovey. My husband says no, my duck is NOT a muscovey. What do you all say?? He/She is about 7 weeks old.

Doesn't look like any Muscovy I've seen, more like a Rouen mix. But I've never had a Muscovy of my own, so... though I don't think they normally get the brown patterning that "wild" ducks have.
Take it with a grain of salt. [IMG]

Doesn't look like any 'scovy I've seen. I haven't seen many, but none of the ones I have seen have that ring around the neck.

I don't think I have seen ANY ducks with that ring around the neck. LOL But, like I said I am not THAT experienced in ducks.

He is quite interesting looking though. I'll be checking in to see what he turns out to be.

1/2 duck 1/2 ring necked pheasant? LOL. This came from a mixed flock of all sorts of things, who KNOWs what it is. Oh, and it refuses to swim lol.

It might be a mule duck (muscovey x mallard).
