What are Ameracauna rooster combs supposed to look like?

I have a beautiful 4 month old Ameracauna roo who has the tiniest comb! It's only slightly bigger than the hens'. Are they supposed to grow as they get older? He already is getting a beautiful tail, but he hasn't started crowing yet.

    Hi,

Ameracauna cocks have bigger combs than the ameracauna hens, however they definitively don't compare with the leghorn cock. We had an ameracauna cock, he never got a big comb. Here is a photo of a full-grown ameracauna cock:

Thanks. At what age do their combs fully develop?

    Hi,

They will typically stop comb growth at age 10-12 months.

Thanks. Your rooster is beautiful, by the way! Mine is going to be a real dude, too, I can tell!
