I am new to BYC. I live in Kentucky. I would appreciate anyone that can help answer some questions about selling eggs and shipping. My birds came from a hatchery and from an individual that is NPIP certified. But, I just don't know anything beyond that. Does anyone know anything about KY laws when it comes to shipping eggs. The only info. I can find online is concerning live chicks. Thanks so much in advance for your time.

I actually just asked the same question of my State Agriculture rep. She sent me a chart with the states and requirements. From what I gather, for most states, to sell across state lines you need to be NPIP, or fill out some special form called a VS Form 9-3 or have a statement from a state official in writing stating your birds are pullorum and avian influenza free. Ask your state agriculture office to be sure.
