I was reading an Animal Encyclopedia at school today and in the Waterfowl section there was a list of endangered or rare Waterfowl. One of them was the Musk Duck. I can't seem to find much info online....Anybody know what they are?

Musk ducks are a stiff-tail (distantly related to the NA ruddy duck). Males are much larger than females. Males have a large fleshy lobe under their bill they use suring courtship. They don't form pair bonds, rather males are very territorial and mate with any female entering their territory. There' been some interesting genetics work done recently showing that there are limited movements in the population.

You're too funny Destin Duck!

This is what my African pygmy geese look like. The male is more colorful. We keep ours inside a greenhouse in a kiddie pool.

They are a wild species of duck in the genus Netta. They are among the smallest of waterfowl, adults could fit in your open hand. They're a bird for specialists, very uncommon in captivity and challenging to keep/breed.
