What are the most common brown egglayers in the Alberta egg industry?

    I had recently started incubating a fertile store bought egg. I am just curious to what kind of chicken it could have came from. It is brown and medium sized. I will put a picture in the next post.

    Most likely a Hendrix/Bovan/ISA type commercial sexlink. Since they don't breed true, you'll get a second generation, if, if the rooster was the same hybrid as the hen. It'll be a surprise all the way around.

    I have some commercial hens and they an egg identical to what you have there.
