I have 2 Bantam and a Black sexlink brooding and as the chicks crack the shell the hens are eating them? they have their own nesting box away from stress fresh food and water, why would all of them be doing that? I have taken all the eggs and candled light them and they are very full of chicks so I have them in a incubator and I'm turning them myself, At lease I can get a few chicks before they get eaten. Is there something I may be doing wrong?

Sounds like you have a bad batch of brood hens. Unfortunately, all broodies are not created equally, and some of them are just terrible mothers.

Sorry, at least you have an incubator to put them in so they have a chance :hugs

Well im putting them up for sale! Thanks for responding, i just knew i had to be doing something wrong.
