Hi! I’ve had hens for 11 years but never babies. We stuck fertilized eggs from a local farm under a broody hen and voila, we have babies.

Anyone want to take a stab at what breed?

And, more importantlyc because we can’t have roosters in the city, any idea whether they’re boys or girls?

Thanks!

(The black one and grey one both have kinda red combs, but some breeds of hens tend to have reddish combs, so I can't tell for sure. Closer pics of all their combs might help. The brown ones comb looks like it could go both ways...)

It’s getting dark here and mama bird doesn’t like me near them. I’ll try tomorrow, but here are my (miserable) attempts. They’re about 6 weeks old.

It's alright! Broody hen is just doing her job, lol. Anyways, the pics aren't much better so you'll prob have to take better ones in morning, and it's kinda hard to tell even at this age, but they all look like pullets to me in the pics, however I was thinking roos before so IDK)

My pics earlier didn’t post! Took these 10 hours ago and was surprised at no responses. . 😂
