A friend of mine picked up some "black copper marans" for me and all looked fine until they started getting feathers... I don't remember my last batch getting feathers like this... Any ideas on what I have?[IMG]

Definitely not black copper marans with the barring - they are possibly cuckoo marans.

For future reference, a black chick with a white/cream spot on it's head is barred or cuckoo. A black or black copper chick won't have that head spot, it will be black on top and white on bottom.
