Here are a few pictures of a few of my chicks. They are 6 weeks old. There are 27 in all but these are the only ones that would stand still for pictures. Could someone tell me what breed and possible gender they might be?

This one is baldy because the back of its head is bald. I think it might be a roo cause it has what might be the beginning of spurs on its legs.

This one is DH's pet he named Walter. Male or female it will still be Walter. Can someone tell me what kind it is? It has 5 toes on each foot. This is also the one that made baldy above bald.

This ones feathers look blue or green when the light hits them.

    Thanks for the reply.
I will see if I can get the last one to cooperate a bit more for another picture. I may have to take it outside for better light.

Don't Sultans have feathered feet/legs? This one has clean white legs.

I agree with what Tuff says on breed and sex. The sultan could be a mix between sultan and polish.

Ok I THINK I got the same birds in these pictures, at least I hope I do. I made a temp pen and took them outside for better light. I had to get down on the ground with them to get level shots. My elbows are not the best stabilizers in the world but maybe these are pictures are better. The black one still doesn't show the colors real well.
Baldy and Walter do look like Polish breeds with Baldy having a really bad hair day. The only difference I see between them is that Walter has a hump in his/her beak where the nostrils are, where as Baldy's is flat like a normal beak. These chicks are from Murray Mcmurray and are SUPPOSED to be pure breed and not mixes.

www.feathersite.com has a breed ID page with pics.

If you look on there you'll see a listing of almost all breeds listed. Click on the 'suspect' ones and you can view pics to compare your guys to.

    Nice chickens!

#2 could be a Delaware cockerel, but seems to have alot of black, more than mine did. Those nubs on his legs may eventually be spurs, but ALL chicks have them, even the pullets-nubs, not spurs. Both RIRs are cockerels. Don't ask me about those wild hairdo'd babies, though. Can't sex those.

The first post of pics of the reds are not the same pics as the last post of chicks you did...the first ones are RIRs for sure and cockerals...don't know what the last red/black ones could be...

I looked on Feather site and the only one that came close to the 2nd pic was a penciled wyandotte. I will post a few more pictures next week as they should all be outside and easier to photograph. Part of the birds that wouldn't allow their pictures are barred rocks. A few others look suspeciously like EE's. It also looks like I will have a few roos to go into the freezer within the next couple months. Looks like I have almost a 75% ratio of cockerels to pullets.
