what brand of Chicken Feed do you use for Show Birds?

Hi,

I just got a nice SQ silkie and wanted to know what breeders use for their SQ birds feed, Because I have been reading about people changing feed when they get the birds and their feather become brittle and some times break off?

Any thoughts would be helpfull,

Altough nutrition can be a factor in brittle feathers any professionally formulated feed will not contribute to brittle feathers. Amature tinkering with feed formulations could easily result in feather problems.
Broken feathers are mostly a management problem. Especially in Silkies.
