Bought some chicks back in April from TSC and I have a rooster and hen that I can't seem to id them breed wise. Would that be a Pea comb or a Rose comb? Looking for some help from you wise folks here.
    Thanks

The hen is on the right in this pic. The roo is out of fosus to the left.

Quote:Not an uncommon task when birds are bought at TSC from hatcheries, many people can't ID hatchery stock birds because of all the mixed blood of other breeds going in.

My guess is it's a very poor example of a Dark Cornish Rooster.

Definitely a Cornish. Hatchery Cornish don't look much like normal ones, but still, a pretty boy.

Is the hen the not-just-black one? She looks kind of like my Partridge Cochin. does she have feathered feet?

They're both Dark Cornish. The hens have that lovely laced pattern.
